Just like in athletic coaching, children’s life coaches use a variety of exercises and activities to build children’s mental health, social and emotional skills. Every session will likely be a little different.

Here are some of the core activities and tools we use during life coaching sessions:

  • Early childhood social-emotional learning tools

  • Children’s bibliotherapy books to teach emotional awareness and coping skills

  • Emotional ABCs curriculum for children ages 4-11 to teach children to understand and better manage their emotions focusing on the following: understanding their emotions, developing an emotional vocabulary to express their emotions appropriately, allowing them to slow themselves down rather than acting impulsively and emotionally.

  • GoZen curriculum on the following topics for children ages 6-15 to teach skills to manage anxiety, stress relief, well-being, resilience, growth mindset, anger transformation, mindfulness, negative thought relief, and procrastination
